Anti-Bullying
Every school is required by law to have a comprehensive anti-bullying policy implemented within their school setting. Schools are required to consult widely with parents/carers, pupils, all staff and governors and their views should be reflected in the policy and practice in dealing with reported incidents and also emphasise the preventative measures in place to combat bullying behaviour.

The Pupil Personal Development Services Team can offer a range of support:
Schools
Support with policy development and training of staff in whole school anti-bullying approaches.
Pupils
Interactive workshops: These reinforce positive anti-bullying messages and build on the pastoral work of the school. They also empower pupils to take appropriate action if they are concerned because they are being bullied, feel they may be a bully or are a bystander, aware of bullying behaviour.
Group support: With the consent of pupils and parents/carers schools may refer pupils where significant concerns about bullying issues remain following usual pastoral support.
