Lending Services

• Collections of books offered to Primary, Nursery and Special Schools through the mobile library visit twice a year
• Project loans for Primary , Nursery and Special Schools to supplement class libraries
• Collections of multimedia materials including audio and video tapes, DVDs posters, story sacks and wall charts

Purchasing Services

• Advice on the selection of resources through catalogues, displays and one-to-one meetings
• Value for money supply of material which has already been serviced, classified and catalogued, ready for inclusion in the library
• Computerised catalogue records 

Outreach Activities

• Reader development activities ranging from book talks to storytelling
  Support for information skills training with staff, pupils volunteer helpers
• Talks to teachers, parents, carers through a number of initiatives
• Demonstrating Web based resources - stories from the Web
• Facilitation of Author visits when funding permits
• Supporting Summer Literacy schemes
