A discount of 10% will be available for block bookings of 10 or more.  Bookings which overrun the session by up to 60 minutes will be charged an additional 30%.  Bookings which overrun by more than 60 minutes will be charged for a full session.  Bookings from individuals or organisations not covered by these categories will be negotiated on an individual basis, as will arrangements for the hire of ICT suites.

Security Staff will be charged on a full cost recovery basis, and discount will not be available.  This charge will be added to all bookings for events and meetings outside the library's normal opening hours.  Following the job evaluation of manual staff, it is therefore necessary to increase this rate, to reflect both the new pay rate and anti-social hours payments.  The new charge will be £15 per hour.  This charge should be reviewed on an annual basis to reflect pay awards.

Equipment charges have not been reviewed since 1992.  We have reviewed the equipment currently available and propose the following charges.  Discounts will not be available.

Film Projector  £25
Video Projector   £30
Data Projector   £30

CDs are currently only available in four libraries, Central, Enniskillen, Omagh and Strabane.  Unlike other Boards WELB has not previously charged for this service.  The proposed charge of 60p per week would allow us to extend the service to all five council areas and to operate the service on a self-financing basis in terms of the stock.

The Media Resource Unit reproduces material in a range of media and the following charges are proposed.  Whilst they represent a significant increase in some cases, this review of charges is long overdue and the proposed charges compare favourably with commercial rates.
