FREE SCHOOL MEALS/SCHOOL UNIFORM/PHYSICAL EDUCATION CLOTHING

Who is entitled?

Free School Meals/Clothing Grant can be awarded if you are currently in receipt of:

• Income Support or Income-Based Job Seekers Allowance, or Income-Related Employment and Support Allowance or if a pupil claims Income Support in their own name; or
  
  
• the Guarantee element of State Pension Credit; or
  
  
• Child Tax Credit and not receiving Working Tax Credit because you work less than 16 hours per week and have an annual taxable income of £16,190 or less; or
  
  
• Working Tax Credit and have an annual taxable income which does not exceed £16,190
  *(Please note - only those pupils in full-time Nursery, Primary and Special Schools who are born on or after 2 July 2002 will be eligible to apply under this criteria for the 2010/2011 year); or
  
  
• you are an Asylum Seeker supported by the Home Office National Asylum Support Service (NASS)

PLEASE NOTE:

• *The Clothing Scheme does not apply to pupils in attendance at Nursery Schools, Nursery Units or Reception Classes or those pupils qualifying for Free School Meals under the 'Special Diet' criterion.
  
  
• Free School Meals can also be awarded if your child has a Statement of Special Education Needs and is designated to require a Special Diet.

Only one application form is required to be completed for entitlement to Free School Meals/Clothing Grant.  Please click below to access the form for the relevant school year.
