Information on admissions to Pre-School, Primary and Post
Primary Schools can be accessed on the EA website www.eani.org.uk/admissions
Admissions to Pre-School, Primary and Post Primary Schools are administered by the School Admissions Office. The Section provides guidance to Principals/Boards of Governors of all Schools and Leaders/Management Committees of Playgroups on Admission Criteria to be used when selecting pupils. The Education Authority (EA) publishes information for Parents/Guardians regarding admissions to Pre-School, Primary School and Post-Primary School. This information will be available on the EA website: www.eani.org.uk/admissions from the end of November 2015.
Parents/Guardians who feel that a school has not applied its published Criteria correctly have a right of appeal. The appeal Tribunal is independent of the Education Authority (EA) but the Clerk of the Tribunal can be contacted through the Section. Similarly parents/guardians have a right of appeal to an Independent Tribunal against the expulsion of a pupil. The Section will also facilitate the hearing of these appeals.
Parents/Guardians or Schools who wish to discuss any of these matters should contact the School Admissions Officer as detailed above.

Application Forms for Pre-Schools and Primary Schools MUST be lodged with the 1st Preference Provider/School on or before 12:00 noon on Wednesday 13 January 2016.
