Public Library Service
The Northern
Ireland Public Library Service is now under the control of
Libraries NI, a new public authority established in April
2009 as a result of the Review of Public Administration
within Northern
Ireland.
Libraries NI
takes over responsibility for public libraries, previously
held by the five Education and Library Boards, however
responsibility for the Schools' Library Service still remains
with each Board.
Information on
the Northern
Ireland Library Service
